Arguably, Xinomavro has a capricious nature, but it can offer outstanding wines in the hands of the right winemaker. And for sure, Karydas family is one of them. A great ageing potential, depth, balance and a robust but velvety palate. If these characteristics do not reflect a great wine, I do not know what it may be.

Appearance: The colour is shiny garnet.

Nose: It is complex, with ripe red fruits, dried fig, fennel, spices and a kiss of oak.

Palate: It has depth with leather, mushroom and cedar notes, high acidity, high tannins, medium body and long persistent aftertaste. 

Hold: A wine for long ageing, keep it for a couple of decades.

Food Pairing: It paired perfectly with lamb chops.
