Naoussa 2016, Chrisohoou

Date Tasted: 5/2020

This wine is smooth, balanced, and well-priced. It could easily find a place on the daily table since it probably is the best in this price range for Naoussa.

Appearance: Pale ruby colour.

Nose: It is delicate, mostly aromas like tomato, cherry, and rosemary, with discreet hints of tobacco coming through in a fresh, well-developed profile.

Palate: It is more mature with spices and pepper making their presence on the beginning, medium body, high acidity, and high velvety tannins that keep the mouth untired. Lastly, there is a medium spicy aftertaste.

Drink or Hold: Because it has already been “alive” for four years and the aromatic profile developed so well, it can rest in the cellar without fear.

Food Pairing: It paired perfectly with pizza.
